Decree No. 381 of June 16, 1978 established the locations of some faculties and institutes of the Lebanese University in the Bekaa, North and South of Lebanon. Article 1 of Decree No. 614 of November 11, 1977 established the creation of the Lebanese University departments in all regions and the Cabinet selected their locations on January 11, 1978. The Faculty of Letters and Human Sciences - Branch 4 - decided to be based in Zahle, Ksara.
The Faculty includes 8 specializations:
1- Arabic Language & Literature
2- French Language & Literature
3- English Language & Literature
4- History
5- Geography
6- Psychology
7- Philosophy
8- Arts & Archeology.
