
Centre MINE announces the opening of applications for the 2024 Fulbright Foreign Language Teaching Assistant (FTLA) program.
This fellowship offers young teachers and graduate students the opportunity to enroll in at least two courses per semester, one of which must be in U.S. studies. Coursework is offered on either an audit or credit basis. FLTA participants will assist in up to twenty hours of language classes a week and will also be expected to facilitate in-person or virtual cultural events, language clubs, and language tables. The best candidates are early-career English teachers or professionals in related fields such as translation. Candidates from the following areas will also be considered on a case-by-case basis: American Studies, Journalism and Media, and American/English Literature. This fellowship will start in August 2024 and end in June 2025. All program-related expenses including roundtrip airfare, monthly stipend (to cover lodging and meals), medical insurance, visa fees, and incidental expenses will be covered by the U.S. Department of State.
