Under the patronage of Speaker of Parliament Nabih Berri, the Faculties of Science (FS), Medical Sciences (FSM), Public Health (FSP), and Pharmacy (FPH), the University Medical Center (CMU) and the Doctoral School of Science & Technology (EDST) of the Lebanese University organized the 11th edition of the BIO BEIRUT conference on immunology and cancer in the conference hall of the Rafic Hariri - Hadath university campus.

During the conference, awaited by a number of political, academic and military personalities and presented by journalist Rouba Hamieh, President Bassam Badran delivered a speech stressing the importance of supporting the path of scientific research, referring to the launch of BIO BEIRUT in its 11th edition, as part of LU 2024-2028 strategic plan.

Finally, the Lebanese University awarded Professor Ahmad Awada an honorary doctorate in cancerology.
