
The Lebanese University won the second prize in the university category in the third edition of the National Robotics & Artificial Intelligence Competition (NRC-3), which was organized under the sponsorship of the Ministries of Education, Higher Education, Industry and Labor.
The award was won by “Agriwatch” project by student Rayan Kachmar (1st year PhD at the DSST/Biochemistry) under the supervision of Dr. Akram Hijazy.
The project provides the possibility of using a drone integrated with sensors and advanced imaging techniques to capture data about plant health indicators, and process that data to identify disease patterns and assess its severity with the aim of intervention and treatment.
