Statement issued by the Presidency of the LU on March 1, 2026
Following the decision of the Ministry of Education & Higher Education, and in view of the current security conditions resulting from the war and its repercussions, and out of concern for the safety of students and members of the teaching and administrative staff, the Presidency requests that deans and directors of faculties, institutes, and university branches take the appropriate decision regarding the continuity of education or suspension of classes tomorrow, Monday, in accordance with the realistic assessments of each faculty and taking into account the specific circumstances on the ground.
The Presidency affirms that it is closely monitoring developments and will issue necessary statements in light of new information.
