The Faculty of Pedagogy - Branch 1 hosts French-speaking Lebanese author Manal Salame
The Faculty of Pedagogy – Branch 1 organized a literary and cultural event with French-speaking Lebanese author Mrs. Manal Salame, author of the novel “Beirut, My Love,” as part of activities aimed at promoting Francophonie and within the framework of the “Francophone festival Beyrouth Livres”, which runs from 9 to 18 October 2026.
The event was organized by Dr. Randa Naboulsi and attended by the branch director, Dr. Jinan Ballout; the educational cooperation attaché at the French Embassy in Lebanon, Mrs. Fatiha Kammoussi; as well as a number of faculty members and students.
The meeting provided students with an opportunity to explore literary and personal experience that reflects the unique nature of the Lebanese Francophonie—with its linguistic and cultural diversity and the interplay of identities and affiliations— which helps foster dialogue and interaction between languages and cultures and provides students with real opportunities to use French in communicative situations.
