The academic year begins in person at the Faculty of Science — Branch 5 in its new building
The academic year 2026–2027 begun with in-person classes at the Faculty of Science – Branch 5, in its new building in the Tefahta in a move that underscores the Lebanese University’s commitment to continue academic education and campus life, despite the delicate security situation the country is currently facing.
At the start of the academic year, the faculty welcomed students to its new building, where administrative operations have resumed, with in-person courses and lectures set to begin on 5 October, in an atmosphere that reflects the university’s commitment to ensuring a suitable educational environment that allows students to pursue their academic studies on a regular basis.
The move to the new building in Tefahta marks an important milestone for the Faculty of Science — Branch 5, as it provides spaces and facilities that support the educational and academic process and enhance working and learning conditions for faculty, administrative staff, and students.
In light of the challenges facing Lebanon, the Lebanese University, by continuing in-person education, reaffirms its commitment to protect the right to education and keep its academic institutions active and effective in serving students and society, while adhering to the measures and procedures required by current circumstances.
With the start of the new academic year, the Faculty of Science — Branch 5 looks forward to an academic year full of contributions and achievements, and to continuing its mission in education and scientific research, in line with the University’s role as a leading national institution in higher education.
