Tourism is a well-established sector in Lebanon, but it was only in the 1990s that it was taught as a university major, when the Lebanese University established the Faculty of Tourism and Hotel Management in 1997, which currently has 383 students.
Since its establishment, this young Faculty has been distinguished for its applied orientations, where learning and training are primarily geared towards practical and professional purposes. It teaches students according to the latest scientific and international basics, qualifying them to work in the fields of tourism, travel, tourist guidance and hotel management, whether in Lebanon or in other Arab countries.
The Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality Management grants the following diplomas:
- Bachelor in:
Hotel Management - Travel and Tourism - Tourist Guidance.
- Master 1 in Hotel Management – Master 1 in Travel and Tourism
- Professional Master 2 in Hotel Management – Professional Master 2 in Travel and Tourism
- Research Master 2 in Tourism
