International Cybersecurity Award for Dr. Mona Al Achkar Jabbour from LU
The United Cybersecurity Alliance has selected Dr. Mona Al Achkar Jabbour, from the Faculty of Law, Political & Administrative Sciences/ Center for Legal Informatics, as one of the 20 most distinguished women globally in the field of cybersecurity for the year 2026, during its annual ceremony held at the historic Schattenburg Castle in Austria.
The 2026 edition saw the participation of more than 5,000 female specialists from various continents, after which the international jury selected a group of women who have distinguished themselves through exceptional achievements and influential contributions in the fields of cybersecurity, technology, digital governance, capacity building, and leadership of regional and global initiatives.
Dr. Mona Al Achkar Jabbour received the Award for Excellence in Cybersecurity in recognition of her professional career and contributions in the fields of cyberlaw, governance, digital legislation and policies, personal data protection, and artificial intelligence, as well as her academic and professional role in establishing the law as one of the fundamental pillars of modern cybersecurity.
