Graduation of 5th batch of Faculty of Pedagogy as part of the cooperation project with the French Embassy
A graduation ceremony was held at the French Institute in Beirut for students of the Faculty of Pedagogy at the Lebanese University and students of the Faculty of Education at Saint Joseph University (Class of 2025–2026) who successfully completed the required coursework and graduation projects, as part of the ongoing cooperation project between the French Embassy in Lebanon and the two aforementioned faculties.
The cooperation project with the French Embassy aims to train teachers for the preschool and elementary school levels (first and second cycles) who are multi-tracked and capable of teaching according to the French curriculum in schools accredited by the French Ministry of Education. (Training of Multidisciplinary Teachers for Preschool and Elementary Levels)
The ceremony began with the Lebanese and French national anthems, followed by remarks from Dr. Patricia Rached, Dean of the Faculty of Education at USJ; Dr. Khalil AL Jammal, Dean of the Faculty of Pedagogy, representing President Bassam Badran; and Mr. Christophe Musitelli, Advisor for Cooperation and Cultural Affairs at the French Embassy and Director of the French Institute in Lebanon.
The speeches emphasized the importance of this project, which opens new horizons for its students on both the professional and academic levels, and underscored the positive and effective role of education in addressing Lebanon’s crises and revitalizing the country.
Dean Al Jammal expressed his delight at the graduation of the fifth cohort of the Multi-Track Teacher Training Project and commended the organizers of this pioneering project at the French Embassy for providing every possible support to ensure its success and continuity. He also thanked the team of professors and trainers from the Faculty of Pedagogy for their tremendous efforts and dedication, praising the creative projects completed by the students.
Dean Al Jammal affirmed the faculty's openness to any partnership project with the French Embassy that enhances the quality of its mission and promotes Francophone values.
During the ceremony, live testimonials were presented by students Zainab Hammoud and Lara Moussa from the Faculty of Pedagogy at the Lebanese University, and students from the Faculty of Education at USJ.
The ceremony was attended by the directors of Branches 1 and 2 of the Faculty of Pedagogy at the Lebanese University, Dr. Jinane Ballout and Dr. Scarlett Sarraf, as well as a number of officials and professors from both faculties and the students’ parents.
