Ahmad Kaabour passed away leaving a legacy at the Lebanese University and the country
At a delicate time in Lebanon and the region, where art intersects with politics, artist Ahmad Kaabour, a graduate of the Faculty of Fine Arts & Architecture passed away, leaving behind a legacy through which he addressed issues of freedom and humanity.
The voice of the late Ahmad Kaabour was part of the collective consciousness of the youth of Lebanon and the region. He sang of the homeland, places, love, childhood, Beirut, the South, and Palestine, and worked in theater as a writer, director, actor, and musician.
The passing of Ahmad Kaabour marks a defining moment in Arab cultural memory.
The Lebanese University extends its deepest condolences to the family and loved ones of the deceased and takes pride that he graduated from Branch 1 and contributed, alongside his colleagues, to its rise and development.
