The Doctoral School of Science and Technology (DSST) and the Faculty of Public Health organized a virtual scientific day on 3 October 2020 on engineering, imaging and physical therapy in the field of the brain and nervous system, in partnership with “Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society” (EMBS) – Lebanon of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE).

Professor Ahmed Al-Rifai, Head of the Physical Therapy Department at the Faculty of Public Health (Branch 1) launched the virtual conference representing the Faculty Dean, Professor Hasna Bou Haroun. Professor Mohamad Khalil, Director of the Azm Center for Research in Biotechnology, also gave a speech representing the DSST Dean, Professor Fawaz El-Omar.

Three scientific seminars were held in which researchers from France and Lebanon reviewed scientific developments in the field of nerves and the brain, and new methods were presented for physical therapy for patients with spinal cord and paraplegia.
