The Ministry of State for Administrative Development handed over electronic training certificates on 2 October 2020 to the 21 trainee employees of the Lebanese University various faculties, branches, centers and institutes who completed integrated educational tracks.

The certificates were delivered during a ceremony held at the Central Administration building in the presence of the President of the Lebanese University, Prof. Fouad Ayoub, the Training & Human Resources Officer at the Ministry, Mr. Samer Hankir, the Training Coordinator at the Ministry, Ms. Rima Salameh, the Director of the Training Project from IQUAD, Mr. Fadi Abdel Khaleq, former training program coordinator, Dr. Carole Bassil, and current program coordinator, Dr. Gilbert Sawma.

Dr. Gilbert Sawma stressed that the teaching and learning process is not limited to the student, as the employee also needs a self-development process and for this reason the Ministry launched e-training or e-learning for employees before the Coronavirus pandemic given the importance of developing functionality by adopting multiple technological methods.

Dr. Sawma pointed to the importance of this initiative in motivating staff and administrators in all branches of the Lebanese University to develop their competencies and skills.

President Ayoub stressed the importance of cooperation with the Ministry in the field of electronic training, which resulted in good results, and linking the development process with training, given that training is the basis and the starting point towards achieving goals and ambitions. He added that the Lebanese University attracts 50% of higher education students in Lebanon, hence the importance of automation to maintain administrative output.
