The President of the Lebanese University, Professor Fouad Ayoub, received in his office on 10 September 2020, the students who won gold medals in the “2020 Science Contest”, organized annually by the National Authority for Scientific Research (ANCS), in the presence of the President, Radwan Shoaib, and a member of its Board of Directors, Dr. Ahmad Shams El-Din.
Professor Ayoub praised the work done by ANCS to demonstrate the ideas and creativity of the Lebanese youth, stressing the importance of the partnership with the Lebanese University.
It is noteworthy that the 17th edition of the contest was held online on 27-28 August 2020, and the following projects won the “Hikmat Naser Award For Innovation”:
1. “Corona Airplane”, by student Zainab Tabaja, from Al Aser Modern School
2. “Time To Update”, by students Jad Doueihy and Christ Sarji, from Val Père Jacques School
3. “Sewer Opening Robot”, by students Mohammad Jawad Charara, Ali Kahil, Hassan Makdad and Haydar Madi, from Al Mustafa High School-Nabatieh
