In accordance with their applied program and with the aim of acquiring scientific and professional expertise and skills, a number of students from the Department of Arts & Archaeology of the Lebanese University - Faculty of Letters & Human Sciences (Branch 3) proceeded to a detailed visit of the Banu Sayfa Castle in the ancient city of Akkar and analyzed its architectural structures from the Frankish period.
Under the supervision of Dr. Soraya Jabak, the visit aimed to introduce students to the historical stages of castles and forts development in Lebanon, as part of a program that will include visiting several archaeological sites.
