Dr. Hisham Zein El Din, Professor at the Faculty of Fine Arts and Architecture, Department of Theater at the Lebanese University, won the prize for theatrical authoring at the "Omani Theatre Festival", for his script "Hadhayan Akher Al Layl” (Late Night Delirium), which is his first in the Arab world, after being honored locally in other events.
Dr. Zein El Din said, "I wrote about the reality of the Arab world today and the shift of the attention from the priority of civil rights to the control of extremist ideology over the house, school, politics and economy, in addition to the negative results to which this thought have brought us”.
Dr. Zein El Din, a graduate of Russia's universities, considers that every experience adds richness to his career, but he does not hide the "frustration" from the locally wide lack of appreciation of “our achievements" as artists.
He pointed out that the invitation of Muscat to participate in the festival allowed him to present and exchange his ideas with other participants, and motivated him for more writing.
He ended: "My award is an award for Lebanon and our national University, where I have been teaching for 20 years now”.
