Melissa Merheb, majored in Chemistry at the Lebanese University - Faculty of Science and graduated with a Professional Master’s degree in Materials and Applications. As a Masters student she worked on a thesis entitled “Effect of manufacturing process parameters on the particle size distribution of limestone cement and its mechanical properties” and had the chance to do an internship at Lafarge-Holcim in Chekka.

She is currently pursuing her Doctoral studies at the UTT - Université de Technologie de Troyes where she is working on a thesis entitled “2D and 3D assembly of inorganic nanostructures”.

Melissa addressed the Lebanese University students through Link LU to be proud of being LU graduates and that researchers all over the world believe in UL students’ abilities. She encouraged them to keep motivated, to stay positive and confident with a high perseverance to achieve all their goals and build a successful career.
