Since June 2002, Lebanon has
become one of nine Mediterranean countries covered by Tempus, the
inter-university cooperation programme set up by the European Commission to help
in the reform and development process in the sector of higher education.
Tempus provides higher education institutions with real opportunities to tackle
these problems through a cooperation scheme involving partners from the European
Union.
The Faculty of Tourism and
Hospitality Management was joining the JEP
(Joint European Project) since 2004. This project is the main core of Tempus activities with the
following areas of interest:
- Curriculum Development
- University Management
- Training Courses for "Institution Building"

development process in partners countries.
2. Encourage different higher education institutions to work together in an
atmosphere of cooperation and exchange of know how and expertise.
3. Help in the reinforcement of the platform for dialogue between cultures.
