Research interests

Dr. Hamieh developed, during the last ten years, four themes of research, which treat in large part some interactions phenomena of solid-liquid, solid-solid and solid-gas in material sciences:

·          Solid-liquid interactions - liquid: application to the physico-chemical colloidal suspensions and optimization of conditions of dispersion of many solids in water and in organic media.

·          Mathematical study of the Poisson-Boltzmann equation and modeling of the electrical double layer.

·          Solid-solid and solid-gas interactions: study, by inverse gas chromatography of the adsorption of some polymers on the metallic oxides, of second order transitions of the surface energy of surface, the specific interactions and areas of molecules adsorbed on solid substrates.

·          Solid-gas interactions and modeling of state equations of two-dimensional state and adsorption isotherms.

Currently, he is involved with several subjects, including:

-         Mathematical modeling of the contact angle of a drop on a cylindrical surface.

-         Study of the influence of the lateral chain of a polymer as the poly (methyl methacrylate) on the adsorption of the polymer on some oxide models. etc.

-         Physico-chemical and electrical characterization of conducting polymers: application to the microelectronics. etc.

-      Synthesis of new mesoporous materials to be used in environmental sciences and especially in the de-pollution of air. etc.
