What is NEW ?
I have the pleasure to announce to the physics community of Lebanon the opening,
at our faculty, of the following two courses :
- Electroweak theory of elementary particles (P228).
- Quantum field theory of elementary particles (P218).
Our faculty is the only institution , in Lebanon , that teaches
these two advanced courses at the undergraduate level (Fourth year
physics). Students holders of a "Lebanese Maitrise" in physics
can register these courses upon simple written request addressed to
the faculty director.
- Applications
Qualified students should apply starting from 1-10-2002 and before
10-10-2002.

- Courses' Organization
The course P228 is given in the first semester (Fall Semester) at the rate of 6 hours per week (3 sessions weekly). A printed textbook with solved problems is to appear in November. The background needed to follow this course is limited to a satisfactory knowledge of the quantum mechanics course (Schrodinger theory) of the B.S. .
The course P218 is scheduled for the second semester (Spring 2003). To attend this course, the student should have passed the P228.
