Bachelor's Degree Graduation Ceremony at the FS – Branch 2
The Faculty of Science (FS) – Branch 2celebrated the graduation of a new class of bachelor's degree students/class of 2024-2025, under the patronage and in the presence of President Bassam Badran.
After the opening with the national anthem and the university anthem, speeches by the graduates, the branch director, Dr. Elie Hajj Moussa, and the dean of the faculty, Dr. Ali Kanj, President Badran took the floor and said that the Lebanese University was a constantly expanding institution and that the FS was the best proof of this thanks to its cutting-edge specializations, sophisticated laboratories, brilliant graduates, and creative professors.
President Badran emphasized that the Lebanese University's Arab and international rankings and achievements are not mere numbers, but a living testimony to the excellence of its students and professors and the dedication of its administrative staff despite all the difficulties.
He also addressed the graduates with the following words: “Today you find yourselves at a new turning point in your lives, and you hold a degree that constitutes a commitment between you and your homeland, a commitment to be where society and all professional fields need you... Make your excellence a bridge between the university and the homeland, between the past that shaped your personality and the future that awaits your creativity.”
President Badran said that despite all the smear and defamation campaigns against it, the Lebanese University remains a majestic edifice that elevates the spirit of its students and proves day after day that it is not measured by the noise around it, but by its achievements and the energy it exudes.
Finally, he concluded that the Lebanese University will remain a beacon of knowledge and excellence, no matter what those who try to obscure its light may say.
At the end of the ceremony, diplomas were awarded to the graduates.
