Art exhibition in partnership with WEHUB at the FFAA - Branch 1
The Faculty of Fine Arts and Architecture (FFAA)– Branch 1 at the Lebanese University organized an art exhibition in partnership with the WEHUB program for women's empowerment and the French agency for international expertise, Expertise France, in conjunction with the campaign against gender-based violence.
The exhibition presented a collection of artworks by male and female students of the faculty, who used them to express contemporary visions and humanitarian messages that reflect the power of artistic expression and its role in raising awareness and bringing about change.
The opening of the exhibition was attended by prominent cultural and academic figures, including former Minister of Culture Judge Mohammad Wissam Mortada, artist Julia Kassar, representative of the Engineers' Union's Women Engineers Committee Engineer Alissar Hajou, President of the Association of Visual Artists Professor Michel Rouhana, Executive Director of the WEHUB program Professor Firas Talhouk, Dr. Gulnar Wakim, and the Expertise France team, as well as department heads, professors, and students.
After touring the exhibition, attendees praised the works on display for their powerful messages and innovative ideas that highlight the energies of young people and the role of women and emphasize the importance of art in social issues.
