Training for master's students in Criminal Sciences in the Dimane

Master's students in “Molecular Diagnostics & Forensic Science” at the Faculty of Science visited the Office of Archaeological & Anthropological Studies/Patriarch Douaihy Project at the Maronite Patriarchate's headquarters in Dimane.

The visit, which was accompanied by Dr. Nada Elias, Coordinator of the Arts & Archaeology Department at the Deanship of the Faculty of Letters & Human Sciences, aimed to train students on how to evaluate human remains and determine their age and gender.

The Lebanese University is considered one of the first local universities to introduce a master’s degree in “Molecular Diagnostics & Forensic Science”, which enables students to learn about various aspects, including crime scene management, document examination, and the collection, analysis, preservation, and evaluation of chemical, biological, and physical evidence.

Under an agreement between the Lebanese University and the Internal Security Forces, students of this master’s program can benefit from practical training opportunities that provide them with specialized field and applied experience.
